This is an aftermarket voltage regulator rectifier built to serve as a direct replacement for the original equipment unit fitted to Polaris 500, 600 and 700 Classic, Edge, SP and XC machines, along with the 550 IQ and 550 Shift models, from 2001 through 2016. It is a plug-and-play, direct fit part that requires no assembly, so it mounts on the original fixing points and connects through the original three-pin plug without cutting, splicing or modifying the loom.
The regulator incorporates a higher grade of electrical components and an improved heat sink design with enhanced charging capabilities, so the finished unit exceeds the specification of the original equipment part it replaces. Every unit is tested before it is shipped. Please note that this regulator is compatible only with electric start models - kick and pull start machines without a charging circuit of this type are not covered.

Does this fit without modification?
Yes. It is a direct fit, plug-and-play replacement that uses the original mounting holes at 68 mm centre to centre and the original single three-pin plug. No assembly, cutting or splicing is required.
What is included?
One voltage regulator rectifier with a 140 mm wire lead and its fitted three-pin connector. No additional hardware, loom or fixings are supplied, as the original fixings are reused.
How do I know my old regulator has failed?
A failed regulator normally shows up as a battery that will not hold charge, or as charging voltage that sits outside the normal range. With the engine running, a healthy system should reach a minimum charging voltage of 14.5 V plus or minus 0.5 V, and the open circuit voltage should stay under 15 V. Readings well below that point to no charge; readings above it point to overcharging, which boils batteries and blows bulbs.
Will it work on a pull start machine?
No. This regulator is compatible only with electric start models. Check that your machine has an electric start charging system before ordering.
