Mosfet Regulator RM30026 for Harley Davidson
Electra Glide 1340, Road Glide 1340, Road King 1340 and Screamin Eagle 1250 - 1995-2001
Brand new Mosfet voltage rectifier regulator, supplied as a direct replacement for the original unit fitted to the Harley Davidson Electra Glide 1340, Road Glide 1340, Road King 1340 and Screamin Eagle 1250 between 1995 and 2001. It is a plug-and-play, direct fit part with an improved heat sink and improved charging capability, built using a higher grade of electrical components than the original. The quality exceeds the OEM equipment, and all products are tested before shipping.
Mosfet technology is what separates this unit from a standard diode-style regulator. It runs cooler than all OEM diode style regulators, and it has overheat protection - rather than burning up it will simply turn off for a while and cool off, then resume. That matters on a big touring twin, where the regulator sits in front of the engine and takes a great deal of heat. This is a high output unit rated at a maximum charging current of 50 A / 500 W, with a minimum charging voltage of 14.5 V +/- 0.5 V and open circuit voltage held below 15 V.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to modify the wiring to fit this unit?
No. This is a plug-and-play, direct fit replacement for the original unit. It uses three plugs, 4 pins and 4 wires, with leads of 1000 mm and 430 mm to reach the original connection points.
What is supplied?
One brand new Mosfet voltage rectifier regulator, part number RM30026, tested before dispatch. No additional connectors or fitting hardware are listed with this part.
How do I tell whether my old regulator has failed?
Measure the voltage across the battery terminals with the engine running and warm. A healthy charging system should show around 14.5 V. A reading that stays at resting battery voltage suggests the unit is no longer charging, while a reading above 15 V suggests it is no longer regulating and is overcharging the battery.
Will it fit the original mounting position?
Yes. The body measures 86 mm by 119 mm by 44 mm and the fixation holes are 156 mm apart centre to centre, matching the original front-mounted position on these Touring models.
