Voltage Regulator Rectifier for Honda CBR 1100 XX
Honda CBR 1100 XX 2001-2003 - Part number RMS020-103673 - Replaces 31600-MAT-D50 and 31600-MAT-D51
This is a brand new aftermarket voltage regulator rectifier for the Honda CBR 1100 XX built between 2001 and 2003. It is a direct replacement for your original unit: plug-and-play, direct fit, easy installation, with no assembly required. The regulator rectifier takes the alternating current produced by the stator, converts it to the direct current the bike runs on, and then holds the charging voltage at a safe level so the battery is properly charged without being overcharged.
A higher grade of electric components is used throughout, so the quality exceeds the OEM equipment, and every product shipped is tested before it leaves the factory. The opposite connector for the main harness side is supplied in the box as well, because those connectors are often melted, corroded or defective and are a major cause of repetitive electrical issues. Renewing the harness side connector at the same time as the regulator rectifier removes the most common reason a replacement unit fails a second time.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this fit without modification?
Yes. It is a direct replacement for the original unit on the 2001 to 2003 Honda CBR 1100 XX, using the same two plugs and eight wires, so it is plug-and-play with no assembly and no modification required.
What is included?
The voltage regulator rectifier unit with its 500 mm wire tails, plus the opposite connector for the main harness side. That extra connector is supplied because the original is so often melted, corroded or defective.
How can I tell the old regulator rectifier has failed?
Measure the voltage at the battery with the engine running. A working charging system should sit at roughly 14.5 V +/- 0.5 V. If the reading never rises above resting battery voltage the unit is not charging, and if it climbs well past 15 V the unit is no longer regulating. A battery that keeps going flat, a battery that keeps boiling, and blown bulbs are all typical signs.
How much output will it handle?
It is rated to a maximum charging current of 50 A / 500 W with the open circuit voltage held below 15 V, and it is specified to operate across a temperature range of -20°C to 85°C.
