Regulator Rectifier for Honda CRF250R and CRF450R
Honda CRF 250 R and CRF 450 R, 2013-2017 - OEM 31600-KRN-A71
A brand new aftermarket voltage regulator rectifier for the Honda CRF motocross models, supplied as a direct replacement to your original unit. It is a plug-and-play, direct fit item with no assembly required, mounting on the standard 65 mm hole centres and reconnecting through the single four-pin plug. On a competition bike with no battery to buffer the system, the regulator is what keeps the ignition and fuel injection seeing a controlled supply, so a failing unit shows up as poor running long before anything else.
The unit is built with a higher grade of electric components and the quality exceeds the OEM equipment. All products shipped are tested. Also included is the opposite connector for the main harness side, as those are known to end up melted, corroded or defective and are a major cause of repetitive electrical issues, particularly on a machine that is regularly pressure washed. All item pictures are accurate, so if in doubt do not hesitate to compare our item to your original part. The part reference is RMS020-102958.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does it fit without modification?
Yes. It is a plug-and-play, direct fit replacement with no assembly required. The mounting holes are 65 mm apart centre to centre and it uses the same single four-pin plug as the original.
What is included?
The voltage regulator rectifier and the opposite connector for the main harness side, so a corroded or melted loom-side plug can be replaced at the same time.
How do I know the original has failed?
On these models the usual signs are hard starting, a misfire that worsens as revs rise, cutting out, or a fan and lighting circuit behaving erratically. Measured across the system with the engine running, a working regulator should hold at least 14.5 V and never climb above 15 V. Corroded pins in the four-way plug are worth checking at the same time, since they produce identical symptoms.
What output is this unit rated for?
Maximum charging current is 20 A or 150 W, matched to the smaller competition charging system on the CRF rather than the 500 W rating used on road machines. Open circuit voltage stays below 15 V and the operating range is minus 20 to 85 degrees Celsius.
