Part RM30414 is a brand new voltage regulator rectifier supplied as a direct replacement for the original unit fitted to the Honda Hawk GT 650 NT650, the Shadow VLX 600 VT600C and the RVF 750 R. It is plug-and-play and a direct fit: two plugs, seven pins and seven wires match the factory wiring, and the fixation holes are 75 mm centre to centre so the unit bolts straight onto the original bracket. No assembly and no modification are required.

This component turns the alternating current generated by the stator into direct current and then holds that output at a controlled level, protecting the battery from both undercharging and overcharging. RMSTATOR build the replacement with a higher grade of electric components and an improved heat sink, which gives better heat dissipation and improved charging capabilities compared with the original design. The manufacturer states that the quality exceeds the OEM equipment.

Supplied with the unit is the opposite connector for the main harness side. On machines of this age the harness connector is very often melted, corroded or defective, and it is a major cause of repetitive electrical issues. Renewing both halves of the connection at the same time gives the new regulator a clean, low resistance path and prevents the fault returning.
