Brand new aftermarket voltage regulator rectifier, supplied as a direct replacement for the original unit fitted to a range of Honda motorcycles and scooters built between 1990 and 2007. It is a plug-and-play, direct fit part - no assembly is required and no modification to the standard wiring loom is needed. The unit is built with a higher grade of electrical components than the original, and uses an improved heat sink for better thermal performance and charging capability. The quality exceeds the OEM equipment, and every unit is tested before it is shipped.

The regulator rectifier converts the alternating current produced by the stator into direct current, and then holds the charging voltage at a level that is safe for the battery and the rest of the electrical system. When the original unit fails the usual symptoms are a battery that will not hold charge, a battery that boils or gasses, dim or flickering lights, or a charging voltage that either never rises above resting battery voltage or climbs well past 15 volts. This unit delivers a minimum charging voltage of 14.5 V +/- 0.5 V and a maximum charging current of 35 A / 400 W, with open circuit voltage held below 15 V.
