Voltage Regulator Rectifier for Honda TRX 300 and TRX 300 FW Fourtrax
Honda TRX300 and TRX300FW Fourtrax - 1988 to 1992 - Part RMS020-102837
A brand new aftermarket voltage regulator rectifier for the Honda TRX 300 and the four-wheel-drive TRX 300 FW Fourtrax, supplied as a direct replacement to your original unit. It is plug-and-play, a direct fit and easy to install: two plugs carrying five wires in total, wire tails of 178 mm and 400 mm and fixing holes on 68 mm centres, all matching the original layout so nothing on the machine needs altering.
These machines are now well over thirty years old and the original Honda regulator is one of the parts most likely to have been pushed past its service life. RMSTATOR build this replacement with a higher grade of electrical components than the original equipment, so the quality exceeds the OEM part. The package also includes an additional connector for the main harness, because on a quad of this vintage the original connector is frequently melted or corroded - and that damaged plug, not the regulator itself, is often what destroys the replacement.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does it fit both the TRX 300 and the TRX 300 FW?
Yes. RMSTATOR list this regulator for the Honda TRX 300 and the four-wheel-drive TRX 300 FW Fourtrax across 1988 to 1992, and it is a direct fit for both with no modification.
What is included?
The voltage regulator rectifier unit and an opposite connector assembly for the main harness side.
How do I tell whether my regulator has failed?
Start the engine and measure across the battery. The system should charge at 14.5 V +/- 0.5 V or better. If the voltage never rises the unit is not charging; if it exceeds 15 V it has stopped regulating and will overcharge and boil the battery. Melted plugs and a discoloured casing point the same way.
Should I check anything else before fitting it?
On a machine of this age it is worth checking the stator output and the earth connections as well, and renewing the harness-side connector supplied in the box if the original shows any sign of heat damage. A high-resistance joint will shorten the life of any regulator fitted behind it.
