Voltage Regulator Rectifier for Honda TRX 700 XX
Honda TRX700XX / TRX 700 XX - 2008 and 2009 - Part RMS020-102867
A brand new aftermarket voltage regulator rectifier for the Honda TRX700XX, built as a direct replacement for the original unit. Installation is plug-and-play: the single six-pin plug matches the standard harness and the fixing holes are on 66 mm centres, so the regulator bolts into the original position with no assembly and no wiring changes. It is a rectifier and regulator in one - it converts the AC output of the stator to DC and then holds the charging voltage at a safe level for the battery.
RMSTATOR build the unit with a higher grade of electrical components than the original equipment and pre-test every regulator before it is shipped. The maximum charging current of 50 A / 500 W gives the unit ample headroom over the standard system. The box also contains an additional connector for the main harness side, because the original plug on a machine of this age is very often melted or corroded - and a poor connection there is one of the most common reasons a newly fitted regulator fails again a short time later.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will it fit without modification?
Yes. It is a direct replacement for the original Honda regulator rectifier, with the same single six-pin plug and 66 mm fixing hole centres. No cutting, splicing or assembly is needed.
What is in the box?
The voltage regulator rectifier plus an additional connector for the main harness side, supplied so you can renew the machine-side plug if the original has melted or corroded.
How do I confirm the old unit has failed?
Run the engine and measure across the battery terminals. The charging system should hold at least 14.5 V +/- 0.5 V. A reading stuck at resting battery voltage means the unit is not charging; a reading above 15 V means it is no longer regulating and will cook the battery. Check the connector for heat damage while you are there.
Is 50 A more than the TRX700XX needs?
The 50 A / 500 W figure is the maximum the unit can handle, not what your machine will draw. The extra capacity simply means the regulator works well within its limits, which is the main reason these units run cooler and last longer than a marginal replacement.
