Voltage Regulator - Honda TRX 90 X & Suzuki LTZ 90 Quadsport
Honda TRX 90 X 2006-2024 and Suzuki LTZ 90 Quadsport 2007-2023 - RMSTATOR part RMS020-103678
This is a brand new aftermarket voltage regulator rectifier built as a direct replacement for the original unit fitted to the Honda TRX 90 X and the Suzuki LTZ 90 Quadsport. It is a plug-and-play, direct fit part: the three wires terminate in a single three-pin plug that mates with the standard machine harness, so there is no assembly, no splicing and no modification needed to get the machine charging again.
The regulator is built with a higher grade of electric components than the original, and the manufacturer states that the quality exceeds the OEM equipment. It holds a minimum charging voltage of 14.5 V plus or minus 0.5 V, handles a maximum charging current of 50 A (500 W), keeps open circuit voltage below 15 V and is rated to work from -20 degrees C right up to 85 degrees C. Every unit is bench tested before it leaves the factory.
The regulator rectifier is the component that converts the alternating current produced by the stator into direct current and then caps the voltage so the battery is not cooked. On small-capacity ATVs it sits in a hot, vibrating, often mud-splashed position, and it is one of the most common causes of a machine that flattens its battery or boils it dry. Replacing it with a correctly rated unit restores stable charging across the whole rev range.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this regulator fit without modification?
Yes. It is a plug-and-play direct replacement for the original unit on the models and years listed in the fitment guide above. The three wires terminate in a single three-pin plug that connects straight to the standard harness, so no cutting, splicing or assembly is required. Before ordering, compare the part number stamped on your existing regulator with the cross reference table above.
What is included?
One brand new aftermarket voltage regulator rectifier with three wires on a single three-pin plug and 180 mm of wire, ready to connect to the machine harness.
How do I know my old regulator has failed?
The usual signs are a battery that will not hold its charge, or the opposite - a battery that swells, boils or smells because it is being overcharged. Dim or flickering lights and blown bulbs also point at the regulator. With a multimeter across the battery at working revs, a healthy charging system on this application should read about 14.5 V and should never climb above 15 V. Readings well below or well above that range indicate the regulator is at fault.
Is this the same part for both the Honda and the Suzuki machines?
Yes. Honda list the unit as 31600-HP2-671 and Suzuki list it as 32800-08H00 and 32800-08H01, but it is the same three-pin regulator across the Honda TRX 90 X and the Suzuki LTZ 90 Quadsport. This single part replaces all three of those OEM references.
