This is a brand new voltage regulator rectifier covering the Kawasaki KFX 700, KLF 300 and the KVF 300, 360, 400, 650 and 700 Prairie and Brute Force family, along with the Suzuki LTV 700, from 1999 through to 2013. It carries RMSTATOR part number RM30W02 and is a direct replacement to your original unit. Fitment is plug and play and direct fit, with the same two plug, eight pin arrangement as the factory part, so no assembly and no wiring changes are required.
The regulator rectifier takes the alternating current the stator produces and converts it into the direct current the battery and electrical system run on, then holds that output at a controlled level. How do I tell whether my old regulator rectifier has failed?
Check the charging voltage at the battery with the engine running. A working system should be holding about 14.5 V +/- 0.5 V.
