The RM30001 is a brand new voltage regulator rectifier supplied as a direct replacement for the original unit fitted to a long list of Kawasaki machines - the Ninja, Eliminator, Vulcan, Zephyr and Bayou families across model years from 1984 right through to 2023. It is plug-and-play and a direct fit, so nothing has to be cut, spliced or adapted.
No assembly is required. The unit uses a higher grade of electrical components than the factory part, combined with an improved heat sink and better charging capability, which is exactly where the original diode style regulators tend to give trouble as they age. The single six pin plug mates with the standard Kawasaki connector, the housing measures 79 by 89 by 27 mm, and the two mounting holes sit 70 mm apart centre to centre.
