Brand new voltage regulator rectifier, supplied as a direct replacement for the original unit fitted to the Kawasaki Ninja ZX 9 R in 1998 and 1999. It is a plug-and-play, direct fit part - no assembly is required and no modification to the standard wiring loom is needed. The unit is built with a higher grade of electrical components than the original and uses an improved heat sink for better thermal performance and charging capability. The quality exceeds the OEM equipment, and all shipped products are tested.

The regulator rectifier converts the alternating current produced by the stator into direct current and holds the charging voltage at a level that is safe for the battery and the rest of the electrical system. This is a high output unit rated at a maximum charging current of 50 A / 500 W, with a minimum charging voltage of 14.5 V +/- 0.5 V and open circuit voltage held below 15 V. When the original unit fails the usual symptoms are a battery that will not hold charge, a battery that boils or gasses, dim or flickering lights, or a charging voltage that either never rises above resting battery voltage or climbs well past 15 volts.
