Regulator Rectifier for Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R and ZZR 600
Kawasaki ZX6R and ZZR600, 2000-2008 - OEM 21066-1125
A brand new aftermarket voltage regulator rectifier for the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R and ZZR 600, supplied as a direct replacement to your original unit. Fitting is plug-and-play and direct fit with no assembly required, using the standard 67 mm mounting centres and the same seven wires across two plugs. The unit takes the three-phase AC output from the alternator, rectifies it to DC and regulates the voltage so the battery and the rest of the electrical system see a steady supply at any engine speed.
A higher grade of electric components is used throughout and the quality exceeds the OEM equipment. All products shipped are tested before they leave. The opposite connector for the main harness side is included as well, because those plugs are commonly found melted or corroded on these models and a damaged connector will simply take the new regulator down with it. Replacing both halves together is the reliable way to fix a repeat charging fault. The part reference is RMS020-102617.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does it fit without modification?
Yes. It is a plug-and-play, direct fit replacement with no assembly required. The fixation holes are 67 mm apart centre to centre and the wiring follows the original seven-wire, two-plug arrangement.
What comes in the box?
The regulator rectifier and the opposite connector for the main harness side, so the loom-side plug can be renewed at the same time.
How do I tell the original has failed?
With the engine running the battery should be seeing at least 14.5 V. If the reading stays down at resting voltage the regulator is not charging; if it rises past 15 V it is overcharging and will ruin the battery. Hard starting after a short ride, dimming lights and a hot regulator body all point the same way. Check the connector for melted pins at the same time.
Why do these units fail so often on the ZX-6R?
The regulator sits in a hot, poorly ventilated position and carries the full alternator output through a small plug. Once a pin starts to corrode or melt, resistance rises, heat builds and the failure repeats itself. Renewing the harness-side connector supplied with this unit removes that cause rather than just its symptom.
