KTM 150 and 300 XC-W, 350 and 450 EXC-F, Husqvarna FE 250, FE 350 and TE 300i 2017-2023 - Replaces 79611034000
This is a brand new aftermarket voltage regulator rectifier for the KTM 150 and 300 XC-W two-strokes, the 350 and 450 EXC-F four-strokes, and their Husqvarna counterparts, the FE 250, FE 350 and TE 300i. It is a direct replacement for the original unit and requires no modification: the body measures 80 mm long by 74 mm wide by 22 mm deep, the two mounting holes are 68 mm apart centre to centre, and the part carries two plugs with seven pins and seven wires on leads of 220 mm and 440 mm, matching the factory layout.
The opposite connector - the main harness side half of the plug - is supplied in the box. RMSTATOR include it because on these models that connector is very often melted, corroded or defective by the time the regulator itself fails, and they identify it as a major cause of repetitive electrical issues. A joint with high resistance runs hot and takes the new regulator with it, so replacing both halves at once is the durable repair. How do I tell that my regulator has failed?

A reading that never rises above resting battery voltage means the unit has stopped charging; one above 15 V means it has stopped regulating and is overcharging. Flat or swollen batteries, blown bulbs and heat damage around the connector all point to the same fault.

This generation of KTM and Husqvarna enduro machines runs a charging circuit and additional feeds through the same regulator, which is why the OEM part 79611034000 uses two plugs, seven pins and two different lead lengths.
