Part RM30908 is a brand new improved AC voltage regulator rectifier supplied as a direct replacement for the original unit fitted across the Polaris 650 to 1200 cc range built between 1994 and 2004. RMSTATOR list it for the Genesis, Hurricane, Octane, Pro, SL, SLH, SLT, SLTH, SLTX, SLX and SLXH. It is plug-and-play and a direct fit, with no assembly required.

The regulator rectifier converts the alternating current produced by the charging coils into direct current and holds that output at a controlled voltage. If it fails in the open direction the battery simply stops being charged and goes flat within a few outings; if it fails in the shorted direction the output climbs unchecked and the battery is overcharged until it boils. Either way the unit needs replacing rather than repairing, and a hard-worked marine installation gives it a shorter life than the same component would see on a road machine.

This is a compact three wire, three pin unit measuring 59 x 64 x 19 mm, with the two fixation holes at 18 mm and 55 mm. It is built with a higher grade of electric components and the quality is stated to exceed the OEM equipment. All products are tested before shipment.
