This is a brand new voltage regulator rectifier for manual start Polaris snowmobiles built between 2000 and 2015, covering the 340, 400, 440, 500, 550, 600, 700 and 800 engines. It is a direct replacement to your original unit and offers plug-and-play, direct fit, easy installation with no assembly required.
On a manual start sled the stator produces alternating current that has to be rectified and regulated before it can charge the battery or feed the lighting and accessory circuits. This unit does exactly that, holding the charging voltage steady at 14.5 V +/- 0.5 V and keeping open circuit voltage under 15 V so nothing downstream is over-volted. It is built with a higher grade of electric components than the original, and its quality exceeds the OEM equipment it replaces - useful on a machine that sees repeated cold starts and heavy vibration. It is a compact two-wire, two-pin unit with a single plug and 185 mm leads, mounting on 65 mm hole centres. All products shipped are tested.
