Voltage Regulator Rectifier for Suzuki
DR 250, DR 350 S, LS 650 Savage, Boulevard S40, SV 650 and 650S, VX 800 - 1986-2019
This is a brand new voltage regulator rectifier, a direct replacement for the original unit fitted across a broad span of Suzuki singles and V-twins. The rectifier section converts the alternating current produced by the stator into direct current for the battery and the rest of the electrical system, while the regulator section holds that output at a controlled level so the battery is charged properly and never overcharged. It is plug and play, a direct fit, easy to install and needs no assembly.
The unit is a compact 75 mm long by 50 mm wide by 25 mm high, with 60 mm centre to centre between the fixation holes and 152 mm of wire. It carries two plugs, five pins and five wires, and is rated to a maximum charging current of 25 A or 300 W with a minimum charging voltage of 14.5 V. The quality exceeds the OEM equipment, with an improved heat sink, better charging capability and a higher grade of electric components than the original part. All products shipped are tested. Part reference RM30201.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this fit without modification?
Yes. It is plug and play and a direct fit with two plugs, five pins and five wires matching the original, and 60 mm centre to centre mounting holes. No assembly and no wiring changes are required.
What is included?
One brand new voltage regulator rectifier, part reference RM30201, tested before shipping.
How do I know my old regulator rectifier has failed?
Measure the battery voltage with the engine running. It should read around 14.5 V. A reading stuck at resting battery voltage means the unit has stopped charging, while anything over 15 V means it is overcharging and will boil the battery and blow bulbs. Batteries that keep going flat, lights that dim or surge with revs, and a hot or discoloured regulator body are the usual symptoms.
Is the LS 650 Savage the same as the Boulevard S40?
Yes. Suzuki renamed the LS 650 Savage as the Boulevard S40, and both are covered by this part along with the DR 250, DR 350 S, SV 650, SV 650S and VX 800.
