This is a brand new voltage regulator rectifier supplied as a direct replacement for the original unit on Yamaha AR 210, Exciter, LS, LX, GP, SUV and XL craft from 1997 to 2005. It is plug-and-play and a direct fit, easy to install, and no assembly is required. All products shipped are tested.

What is included?

How do I know my old regulator has failed?
Measure battery voltage with the engine running. A working charging system holds 14.5 V +/- 0.5 V. If voltage never rises above resting battery level the unit has stopped rectifying, and if it climbs past 15 V it has stopped regulating and will overcharge the battery. Heat discolouration on the case is another clear sign.
Why does this unit have no plug?
This regulator is specified with 0 plugs and 5 individual wires with 5 pins, which is how the original is arranged on these craft. The pins connect into the existing harness terminals rather than through a single moulded connector body.
