AC Voltage Regulator Rectifier RM30418 for Yamaha
Bravo 250, Enticer, Excel, Exciter, Inviter, Mountain Max, Phazer, SRV, SRX, Viking 540, V-Max and WR 400 - 1987-2011
Brand new aftermarket AC voltage regulator rectifier, supplied as a direct replacement for the original unit fitted to Yamaha Bravo 250, Enticer, Excel, Exciter, Inviter, Mountain Max, Phazer, SRV, SRX, Viking 540, V-Max and WR 400 machines built between 1987 and 2011. Installation is plug-and-play and direct fit, with no assembly required, so the original two-pin plug connects straight to the new unit and there is no need to cut or splice the loom.
The unit is built with a higher grade of electric components than the original, with an improved heat sink and improved charging capabilities, and the quality exceeds the OEM equipment. All products shipped are tested. In service it holds a minimum charging voltage of 14.5 V +/- 0.5 V, will pass a maximum charging current of 20 A / 150 W, keeps open circuit voltage below 15 V and operates across a temperature range of -20°C to 85°C. It replaces Yamaha OEM part number 82M-81910-A0-00.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this fit without modification?
Yes. It is a direct replacement for the original unit and is plug-and-play with no assembly required. The single 2-pin plug and 140 mm wire lead match the original, and the two fixing holes are 60 mm apart centre to centre. Confirm your existing unit carries OEM number 82M-81910-A0-00 before ordering.
What is included?
The voltage regulator rectifier unit itself, complete with its connector and wiring. Every unit is tested before it is shipped.
How do I know my old regulator has failed?
A working charging system should hold the battery at the minimum charging voltage of 14.5 V +/- 0.5 V with the engine running. A reading that stays low, or one that climbs above the 15 V open circuit figure, points to a failed regulator rectifier. Before fitting a new unit, check the AC output of the stator, replace any burned or corroded connectors and repair melted wiring, otherwise the same fault will return.
Is this an AC regulator or a DC unit?
This is an AC voltage regulator rectifier. It has two wires running to a single 2-pin plug and is rated at a maximum charging current of 20 A / 150 W, with an operating temperature range of -20°C to 85°C.
