AC/DC Voltage Regulator Rectifier - RM30435
Yamaha V-Max 1200 - 1996 to 2007
A brand new aftermarket voltage regulator rectifier supplied as a direct replacement for the original unit on the Yamaha V-Max 1200 from 1996 to 2007. It is plug-and-play and a direct fit, so installation is easy and no assembly is required. A higher grade of electric components is used throughout and the heat sink and charging capabilities are improved over the original design.
The unit carries 3 plugs, 5 pins and 5 wires on long 325 mm, 365 mm and 380 mm leads, with 68 mm between the fixation holes, so it reaches the original mounting point and connectors without any splicing. Electrically it holds a minimum charging voltage of 14.5 V +/- 0.5 V and keeps the open circuit voltage below 15 V, with a maximum charging current of 25 A / 300 W and an operating range of -20 C to 85 C. The opposite connector for the main harness side is supplied as well, because these plugs are commonly corroded or burnt on a bike of this age.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this fit without modification?
Yes. It is a direct replacement for the original unit on the V-Max 1200 from 1996 to 2007, with the same 3 plugs, 5 pins and 68 mm fixation hole spacing, and the leads are long enough to reach the standard mounting point. No assembly or rewiring is required. Please confirm the OEM number on your original unit before ordering.
What is included?
The voltage regulator rectifier and the opposite connector for the main harness side.
How can I tell my old regulator rectifier has failed?
Watch for a battery that will not hold charge, a reading at the battery terminals that never climbs to about 14.5 V with the engine running or that pushes past 15 V, lights that surge and dim with revs, and a regulator body that becomes extremely hot. Melted or corroded connector pins are a further sign.
Why does it come with a second connector?
The harness side plug is often melted, corroded or defective on machines of this age and is a major cause of repeat electrical issues. The included connector lets you renew that half of the joint at the same time, so the new regulator is not compromised by a damaged plug.
