Voltage Regulator Rectifier for Yamaha WR250F and WR450F
Yamaha WR 250 F and WR 450 F, 2007-2013 - OEM 5UM-81960-E0-00
A brand new aftermarket voltage regulator rectifier for the Yamaha WR enduro models, supplied as a direct replacement to your original unit. Installation is plug-and-play and direct fit with no assembly required, so the old regulator unbolts and this one takes its place on the same mounting centres using the same connections. The unit converts the alternator AC output to DC and holds the charging voltage steady, which is what keeps the battery, lighting and engine management running as intended.
A higher grade of electric components is used throughout and the quality exceeds the OEM equipment. All shipped products are tested. Also included is the opposite connector for the main harness side, because those plugs are often melted, corroded or defective and are a major cause of repetitive electrical issues, so both halves of a heat damaged connection can be renewed in one go. The item pictures are accurate, so if in doubt compare the item against your original part before fitting. The part reference is RM30330.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does it need any modification to fit?
No. It is a plug-and-play, direct fit replacement with no assembly required. The fixation holes are 60 mm apart centre to centre, matching the original, and the four wires and two plugs follow the standard layout.
What is included?
The voltage regulator rectifier and the opposite connector for the main harness side, so a burnt or corroded plug on the bike can be replaced at the same time.
How do I know the original regulator has failed?
Measure the voltage across the battery with the engine running. A working system should reach at least 14.5 V. If it sits below that the battery is being drained rather than charged, and if it climbs above 15 V the regulator has lost control and is overcharging. On a WR the first symptom is often a battery that will not turn the engine over after a couple of rides, or headlight brightness that rises and falls with revs.
How much output can it handle?
The unit is rated to a maximum charging current of 50 A or 500 W, holds a minimum charging voltage of 14.5 V plus or minus 0.5 V, and is specified to operate from minus 20 to 85 degrees Celsius.
