This is a brand new aftermarket voltage regulator rectifier built as a direct replacement for the original Yamaha unit. It is plug-and-play and a direct fit, so installation needs no assembly and no changes to the loom.
RMSTATOR specify a higher grade of electric components together with an improved heat sink and charging capability that exceeds the original equipment, and every unit is tested before it is shipped. The regulator measures 66 mm wide by 80 mm long by 29 mm high, carries 150 mm of wire, and has 68 mm between the fixation hole centres. Six wires run into a single 6-pin plug.

How do I know my old regulator has failed?
On these Moto-4 and Big Bear machines a failed regulator usually shows as a battery that keeps going flat, or as charging voltage that climbs high enough to boil the battery. With this unit fitted the system holds a minimum charging voltage of 14.5 V +/- 0.5 V and an open circuit voltage below 15 V.
How is this better than the original part?
RMSTATOR use a higher grade of electric components and an improved heat sink, which raises the charging capability above the original specification. Heat is the usual reason the factory unit fails on these quads.
