Delco 39MT Starter Motor 12V 11-Tooth PLGR

Clockwise rotation | Planetary gear reduction | Heavy duty diesel applications

A new 12-volt, 11-tooth PLGR starter motor from the Delco 39MT series, built as a direct replacement for Delco 19011531 and 8200288.

The 39MT uses a planetary gearset to multiply motor torque, so it cranks large diesels reliably from a compact, lighter body. This is the 11-tooth version - if your flywheel needs 12 teeth, order part 410-12641 instead.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I confirm I need the 11-tooth version?

Count the teeth on the pinion gear at the nose of your existing starter. If it has 12 teeth, order part 410-12641 instead - the tooth count must match the flywheel ring gear exactly.

What does CW rotation mean?

Clockwise, viewed from the drive (pinion) end. Fitting a starter with the wrong rotation will not crank the engine and can damage the ring gear.

Is this a rebuilt unit with a core charge?

No - it is 100% new, so there is no core charge and no old unit to return.

Is the solenoid included?

Yes - supplied as a complete assembly with the solenoid fitted.
