This starter motor is a direct-fit replacement for the Kawasaki FH-series engine range, built to the same mounting, output and mechanical specification as the original equipment unit so it bolts straight into place. The same starter is used across a very wide spread of commercial and domestic machines - Cub Cadet Tank and Z-Force mowers, Toro Z Master and TimeCutter zero-turns, John Deere Z-Trak and X-series tractors, and New Holland MZ and MY yard tractors.
It runs on 12 volts, turns counter-clockwise (CCW) and uses a 10-tooth drive gear on a permanent-magnet direct-drive (PMDD) motor, matching the specification of the original Kawasaki unit. The drive gear engages the engine's flywheel ring gear only while cranking and retracts automatically once the engine fires, so no adjustment is needed after fitting.
