This is a direct-fit replacement starter motor built to OEM specifications for Mercury Marine and Mariner Optimax DFI outboard engines rated at 135, 150, 200 and 225 horsepower, built from 1997 to 1999. It is a complete, ready-to-fit unit engineered to match the form, fit and function of the original equipment, so it bolts straight in place of the original starter with no adaptation required.
