This starter motor is a direct-fit replacement for Yamaha outboard engines, built to the same mounting, output and mechanical specification as the original equipment unit so it bolts straight into place. It covers the Yamaha V4 and V6 115HP to 200HP two-stroke range as well as the F40 and F50 four-stroke outboards.
It runs on 12 volts with a 1.1kW output, turning counter-clockwise (CCW) with a 9-tooth drive gear, and uses a permanent magnet direct drive (PMDD) design. Earlier production versions of this starter have a rear threaded hole by the B+ stud; later versions eliminated this feature, so check your original unit if this detail matters for your accessories.
