Brand new starter relay solenoid switch for classic Arctic Cat snowmobiles built between 1990 and 2003. The solenoid is the heavy duty switch that stands between the battery and the starter motor. When the start button is pressed a small control current energises the coil inside the housing, which pulls the main contacts together and lets the full cranking current through to the starter.
Cold starting is the hardest work an electrical system does, and the contacts inside the solenoid take the brunt of it.
