This is a brand new starter relay solenoid switch, part number RMS090-104882, supplied as a direct replacement for the original unit fitted to Arctic Cat Cougar 550, EXT 580, EXT 600, Jag 340, Jag 440, Pantera 580 and Panther 440 machines built between 1995 and 2008. The solenoid is the heavy duty switch that sits between the battery and the starter motor: the start button passes only a small signal current through the solenoid coil, and the solenoid then closes the high current circuit that actually cranks the engine.
