This is a brand new starter relay solenoid switch, supplied as a direct replacement for the original unit fitted to a broad range of KTM and Suzuki machines. The starter relay solenoid is the heavy duty switch that sits between the battery and the starter motor. When you press the starter button, a small current energises the coil inside the relay, which in turn closes a set of high current contacts and allows the full battery current through to the starter. Because it handles that current on every single start, the contacts and the coil are among the more common electrical wear items on a motorcycle or scooter. This unit measures 50 mm in height, 40 mm in length and 34 mm in width, and carries four terminals and one plug, matching the original layout so that the existing loom and mounting can be re-used without modification.
