This is a brand new aftermarket stator built as a direct replacement for the original unit fitted to Arctic Cat CRF Crossfire 700, F6 and F7 Firecat, M6 600 and Mountain Cat 600 snowmobiles from 2005 to 2006. It is plug-and-play and a direct fit, so the factory mounting points, the wiring route and the connector are all retained and no modification is required.
Nine wires leave this stator through a single plug, carrying two alternator circuits, a pickup circuit and two ignition source coils. The core is built from the highest grade lamination material and the windings from the highest grade copper, rated to withstand 200 degrees Celsius, which is the specification that matters most because heat is what finishes off an original stator. The connector is included.

How do I tell whether my old stator has failed?
Measure each circuit with a multimeter and compare against the specification table: yellow 0.4 ohms, white/blue 17.2 ohms, orange 2 ohms, green to brown 10 ohms and green to black 10 ohms, all plus or minus 20 percent. A reading well outside those values, an open circuit, or continuity from any winding to the stator body means the unit has failed.
How do I tell this apart from the similar 2002-2006 stator?
The 2005-2006 unit is 115 mm across, 20 mm thick and runs nine wires through one plug. The earlier design is 114 mm across, 19 mm thick and runs ten wires through three plugs. Checking the plug count and the original part number, 3007-018 or 3006-943, is the quickest way to be certain.
