Stator for Arctic Cat Mountain Cat, Pantera & ZR EFI
Arctic Cat Mountain Cat 500-600, Pantera 600, Powder Special 600, ZL 500-600 and ZR 500-600 EFI - 2000-2005 - RMSTATOR part RM01010
This is a brand new stator built as a direct replacement for the original unit on the EFI Arctic Cat sleds of the early 2000s. It is plug-and-play and a direct fit, installing on the original mounting points with the connector included, so no modification of the loom is needed.
This is a seven-wire, ten-pin stator that does considerably more than charge the battery. Alongside the alternator windings it carries the fuel pump coil, the hand warmer coils and two separate ignition source coils, each with its own resistance figure listed in the table below, which makes the unit straightforward to diagnose with a multimeter before it comes off the sled. It is wound with the highest grade of copper on the highest grade of lamination materials, rated to resist 200 degrees Celsius, and all products shipped are tested.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this fit without modification?
Yes. It is a plug-and-play direct fit with the connector included, mounting on the original stator plate location. Check the OEM number 3005-699 against your original unit before ordering, as Arctic Cat used several stator variants across this model range.
What is included?
The stator assembly with its connector. The original grommet and mounting hardware are reused.
How do I know my old stator has failed?
Symptoms depend on which winding has gone. A failed alternator winding shows up as a flat battery and dim lights; a failed fuel pump coil leaves the sled starving for fuel or refusing to run; dead hand warmers point at the orange circuit; and a failed source coil gives no spark on one or both cylinders. Measure each circuit cold and compare against the resistance figures in the table above.
Can I test it without removing the stator?
Yes, in most cases. Unplug the stator connector and measure between the relevant pairs of wires with a multimeter: yellow to yellow should read about 0.2 ohms, white to blue about 17.2 ohms, the orange hand warmer circuit about 2 ohms, and each green source coil circuit about 10 ohms, all with a 20 per cent tolerance. Any winding reading continuity to ground has failed.
