Stator for Arctic Cat King Cat & Mountain Cat
King Cat, Mountain Cat ZR 900, Mountain Cat, ZR and ZL 800, ZR 440 Sno Pro, 2000 to 2005 - Part number RM01375
This is a brand new stator built as a direct replacement for the original unit fitted to the Arctic Cat King Cat, Mountain Cat ZR 900, Mountain Cat, ZR and ZL 800, and ZR 440 Sno Pro from 2000 through 2005. It is a plug-and-play, direct fit part that uses the factory mounting pattern and the original wiring route, so nothing on the sled needs to be cut, spliced or modified to fit it.
This is a high pin-count assembly - nine wires across six plugs and ten pins - which reflects how much the stator does on these machines. It supplies the alternator charging output that keeps the battery and the electric start circuit healthy, together with the ignition circuits, so a single failure here can leave the sled either unable to charge or unable to run at all. The stator is built on the highest grade lamination materials and wound with the highest grade copper, insulated to resist 200 degrees Celsius, which is what allows it to survive the swing from a deep cold start to sustained high engine temperature on a long trail run. The connector and the back plate are both included, and every unit shipped is tested first.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to modify anything to fit this?
No. It is a plug-and-play, direct fit replacement that uses the original plugs and the factory mounting pattern. No cutting or splicing of the loom is required.
What is included in the box?
The stator, the connector and the back plate. Every unit is tested before it is shipped.
How do I tell whether my old stator has failed?
With the plugs disconnected, measure yellow to yellow across the alternator windings. A healthy unit reads about 0.4 ohms, plus or minus 20 per cent, and shows no continuity to the engine case. An open circuit, a short to earth, or a reading well outside that figure means the windings have gone.
Why does this stator have six separate plugs?
Because it feeds several circuits at once. The nine wires split across ten pins to serve the charging output and the ignition circuits separately, which is how Arctic Cat wired these models. Every plug must be reconnected for the sled to charge and to run correctly.
