A brand new aftermarket stator for the 2005 to 2008 Suzuki GSX-R1000, built as a direct replacement for the original charging unit. It is a plug-and-play, direct fit part: the mounting pattern, the three-wire output and the factory connector all match the original, so the job is a straight swap behind the generator cover with no rewiring and no modification to the bike.
The stator is built on highest grade lamination materials and wound with highest grade copper windings rated to resist 200 degrees Celsius, which matters on a litre sportbike where the charging system runs hot and hard. How can I tell my old stator has failed?
Measure between each pair of the three white wires with the plug disconnected. Each pair should read around 0.4 ohms, plus or minus 20 per cent, and all three should be similar to one another. A reading that is open circuit, wildly different from the other two, or that shows continuity to the stator body indicates a failed winding.
Why does it come with a spare connector?
Because on the GSX-R1000 the three-pin joint between the stator and the main harness takes the full charging current and often shows heat damage. Renewing the harness-side half at the same time as the stator removes a known repeat-failure point rather than leaving a burnt plug in the circuit.
