This is a brand new generator stator built as a direct replacement for the original charging unit on the Kawasaki KLF 220 Bayou and KLF 250 Bayou, covering model years 1996 through 2011. The stator sits behind the flywheel and produces all of the electrical power the quad consumes - it supplies the regulator rectifier, which in turn charges the battery and runs the lights, the ignition and the accessories. On a machine of this age the original windings are frequently the first thing to give up, and once they do the battery goes flat no matter how good the battery itself is.

No. This application uses a three-wire charging stator only, and the pickup coil is a separate component on these machines. The kit is supplied with the stator, the connector and the rubber grommet.
