Generator Stator for Kawasaki KVF 300 Prairie
Fits KVF 300 Prairie, 1999 to 2002 - Part RM01320
This is a brand new generator stator for the Kawasaki KVF 300 Prairie, covering model years 1999 to 2002. It is a direct replacement for the original Kawasaki unit and installs plug-and-play, with the pick-up pulsar coil, the connector and the rubber grommet all supplied and already fitted. The stator sits behind the flywheel inside the left engine case, where its windings generate the alternating current that the regulator rectifier converts into the DC voltage that charges the battery and powers the lights and accessories.
The Prairie 300 is a working utility quad and it usually earns its keep on a farm, a smallholding or a shoot, which means winch work, lights and long slow-speed runs - exactly the duty cycle that puts the most sustained load on a charging system. Over time the heat cycling breaks down the original winding insulation and the output falls away. The classic warning signs are a battery that is flat every Monday morning, headlights that visibly brighten as you raise the revs, a winch that stalls the engine, and eventually a machine that runs only as long as the battery lasts. This replacement uses the highest grade lamination materials and the highest grade copper windings, resistant to 200 degrees Celsius, and every unit is tested before it is shipped.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this fit without modification?
Yes. It is a plug-and-play direct fit for the KVF 300 Prairie built between 1999 and 2002. The 38 mm bore, the 102 mm outer diameter and the two factory connectors match the original, so no cutting or splicing is required. Check that the number on your existing unit reads 21003-1343 before ordering.
What is included in the box?
The generator stator assembly, the pick-up pulsar coil, the connector and the rubber grommet.
How do I know my old stator has failed?
Use a multimeter on the ohms range. Black to black should read about 0.4 ohms across each alternator pair, plus or minus 20 per cent, and the readings should be consistent with one another. Blue to green should read about 125 ohms, plus or minus 20 per cent, for the pick-up. An open circuit on any reading, or any continuity between a winding wire and the stator body, confirms the unit has failed.
Should I replace the regulator rectifier at the same time?
It is worth testing it. A stator and a regulator rectifier work as a pair, and a regulator that has failed short can overload and destroy a healthy new stator. If the old stator burnt out rather than simply going open circuit, check the regulator before fitting the replacement.
