This is a brand new stator supplied as a direct replacement for the original unit fitted to these Polaris snowmobiles. It is plug-and-play and a direct fit, so it mounts in the original position and plugs into the original harness with no cutting, no splicing and no modification to the engine case. The pick up pulsar coil is included with the assembly, along with the connector and the rubber grommet, so the complete charging and trigger assembly is replaced in one job.
The unit uses the highest grade lamination materials and the highest grade copper windings, resistant to 200 degrees Celsius, so it holds its output under the sustained heat a snowmobile charging system generates. All products are tested before they are shipped. This part is supplied under RMSTATOR part number RM01222 and replaces OEM part numbers 4011449, 4011463 and 4010727.

Does this need any modification to fit?
No. It is a direct replacement for the original unit and is plug-and-play, so it mounts in the original position and plugs into the original harness. No cutting or splicing is required.
What is included?
The stator with the pick up pulsar coil already fitted, the connector and the rubber grommet. All products are tested before they are shipped.
How do I tell whether my old stator has failed?
Test the windings with a multimeter against the figures in the Technical Specs table. The alternator windings should read 0.4 ohms +/-20% between each yellow wire, the pickup should read 195 ohms +/-20% from green to white/green, and the source coils should read 15 ohms +/-20%. Readings well outside those values, or continuity between a winding and the stator core, indicate a failed unit.
Do I have to fit the pickup coil separately?
No. The pick up pulsar coil is supplied on the assembly with 275 mm of wire from the coil to the grommet, so the stator and the trigger are replaced together in a single job.
