A brand new aftermarket stator built as a direct replacement for the original charging and ignition unit fitted to Polaris 440, 500, 600 and 700 class snowmobiles built between 1999 and 2009. It is a plug-and-play, direct fit assembly, so it mounts in the factory position on the original fixings and requires no modification to the engine, the flywheel or the wiring loom.
This is a complete assembly rather than a bare stator. The pick-up pulsar coil, the connector, the rubber grommet and the back plate are all supplied with it, so there is nothing to strip off the old unit before fitting. It is built on the highest grade lamination materials and wound with the highest grade copper, rated to withstand 200 degrees Celsius. Every unit is bench tested before it is shipped.

How do I tell whether the old stator has failed?
Look for a battery that will not hold charge, dim or flickering lights, a weak or intermittent spark, or a machine that cuts out when hot. Measure the resistance between brown and yellow for the alternator winding, white/red to white for the pick-up coil, red to green and red to black/red for the two source coils, and compare the readings against the specification table above.
Do I need to buy the pick-up pulsar coil separately?
No. The pick-up pulsar coil is supplied already fitted to this assembly, along with the rubber grommet and the back plate, so the complete unit goes in as one piece.
