Brand new stator crankcase cover gasket - part RM08020 - fits the shared 400 sport quad platform
The stator cover gasket seals the crankcase side cover against the engine case. It has two jobs: it holds engine oil inside the case, and it keeps water, mud and trail grit away from the stator windings, the pickup coil and the flywheel behind the cover. On a 400 sport quad the cover comes off fairly often - to change a stator, to inspect the charging system, to fit a flywheel puller - and the gasket should be renewed every time. A gasket that has already been crushed once will rarely seal properly again.
