Stator for Arctic Cat 500, 550, 700 and 1000
Alterra, HDX, Mud Pro, TBX, TRV, VLX, XR, XT and Prowler, 2013-2022
This is a brand new aftermarket stator, supplied complete with its pick up pulsar coil, built as a direct replacement for the original unit fitted to Arctic Cat Alterra, HDX, Mud Pro, TBX, TRV, VLX, XR, XT and Prowler machines in 500, 550, 700 and 1000 form, built between 2013 and 2022. It delivers 20% more output over stock, which is useful on machines running winches, heated grips or auxiliary lighting.
Please note one point before you fit it: you must re-install your original grommet onto the new stator. Once your connector and grommet are in place, the part becomes a plug-and-play unit, a direct fit, and very easy to install. The windings are copper, rated to resist 200 degrees Celsius. Every part is tested before it is shipped. Our part number for this stator is RMS010-104019.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this stator fit without modification?
It is a direct fit on the applications listed above, with one preparation step: your original grommet has to be transferred onto the new stator. Once the grommet and connector are in place the unit is plug-and-play and needs no cutting or splicing.
What is included?
The stator, its pick up pulsar coil, the connector, and the opposite connector for the main harness side. The opposite connector is supplied because that side of the loom is frequently found melted or corroded on these machines.
How can I tell that my old stator has failed?
A flat battery, dim lights or a machine that will not restart after a run are the usual signs. Unplug the stator and measure resistance: the White alternator wires should read 0.4 ohms with a tolerance of plus or minus 20%, and the pick up coil should read 200 ohms Blue to Green, again plus or minus 20%.
What does 20% more output over stock mean in practice?
The alternator winding produces more charging current than the original unit at the same engine speed. On a machine loaded with a winch, spotlights or heated equipment, that extra headroom helps keep the battery topped up at low revs.
