Stator for Can-Am DS 650
Direct replacement stator for the Can-Am DS 650, 2000-2007
This is a brand new stator for the Can-Am DS 650 built between 2000 and 2007, supplied as RMSTATOR part RM01200. It is a direct replacement for your original unit: the same 53 mm interior diameter, 114 mm exterior diameter and 24 mm thickness, with the same three-wire output, so it drops onto the factory mounting points and connects through the supplied plug.
The stator is built on the highest grade lamination materials and wound with the highest grade copper windings, rated to resist 200 degrees Celsius - the heat inside a stator cover is what kills most original units, so the winding rating matters more than anything else on the spec sheet. The connector and rubber grommet are supplied with the stator.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this stator fit without modification?
Yes. It is a direct replacement for the original unit on the 2000-2007 DS 650 and uses the factory mounting points and the supplied connector, so no cutting, splicing or drilling is needed.
What is included?
The stator, the connector and the rubber grommet.
How can I tell my old stator has failed?
Check it with a multimeter. The three alternator wires should read about 0.4 ohms plus or minus 20% wire to wire, and none of them should show continuity to the stator body. An open circuit, a short to earth, or a charging voltage that will not rise with engine speed all point to a failed stator.
Which OEM part number does this replace?
It cross references to Can-Am 420296520. Check the number on your original unit before ordering.
