How do I test my existing stator?
With the engine off, measure resistance between each pair of the three yellow wires - each pair should read about 0.6 ohms, allowing 20 percent either way. Then measure from any yellow wire to the stator body or engine earth: that reading should be O.L, an open line. Any continuity to ground means the winding has shorted and the stator needs replacing.
Does this stator include a pickup coil?
No. This is a three-wire alternator stator with a single three-pin plug, supplied with connectors and a grommet. The pickup coil is a separate component on these machines and is not part of this assembly.
