A brand new aftermarket outer stator for the Honda CB 750 and CB 900 of 1979 to 1983, the range listed by the manufacturer as CB 750 900 Super Sport Custom Nighthawk. It is a direct replacement for the original unit and fits plug-and-play, so it mounts on the standard fixings and connects through the standard five-pin plug with no rewiring and no modification to the machine.
This is the outer stator type used by these Hondas, with a large 94 mm interior diameter and a 124 mm outer diameter, so the rotor turns inside the winding rather than around it. It is built on highest grade lamination materials and wound with highest grade copper windings that resist 200 degrees Celsius, which is what these older air-cooled fours need from a charging system that sits close to the engine and works hard at low revs. Every unit is tested before it is shipped, and the connector and rubber grommet are supplied with it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will it fit without modification?
Yes. It is a direct replacement for the original unit and fits plug-and-play on the standard mounts and the standard connector. Because twelve OEM numbers are superseded by this one part, the safest check is to match the number on your existing stator against the cross reference table above.
What is supplied in the box?
The outer stator, the connector and the rubber grommet. All products shipped are tested.
How do I know the old stator has failed?
Disconnect the plug and measure between each pair of the yellow output wires. Each pair should read about 0.6 ohms, plus or minus 20 per cent. A pair that reads open circuit, a set of readings that differ markedly from each other, or any continuity between a yellow wire and the stator body all indicate a failed winding.
What is an outer stator?
On these Hondas the winding sits outside the spinning rotor rather than being enclosed by a flywheel. That is why this part has a large 94 mm interior diameter and a 124 mm exterior diameter, and why it is described as an outer stator rather than a conventional flywheel stator.
