This is a brand new aftermarket stator, built as a direct replacement for the original unit fitted to the Honda CRF 150 F. How do I tell if my old stator has failed?
Check the two circuits with a multimeter against the figures in the specification table. The pick-up should read 238 ohms +/-20% from Green to Blue/White, and the source coil 188 ohms +/-20% from Green to Black/Red. An open circuit, a reading well outside those values, or continuity between a winding wire and the stator plate indicates a failed unit. On this model a dead pick-up gives no spark, while a failed source coil gives a weak or intermittent spark.
Does this include the pick-up pulsar coil?
Yes. The pick-up pulsar coil is supplied fitted, with 215 mm of wire from the coil to the grommet, so the ignition trigger and the source coil are replaced together as one assembly.
