This is a brand new aftermarket stator built as a direct replacement for the charging and ignition stator fitted to the Honda CRF 230 F. How do I know my old stator has failed?
Typical symptoms are a battery that will not stay charged, dim or flickering lights, a bike that runs only while the battery holds out, or no spark at all. A resistance check across the leads is the usual confirmation: on this unit the alternator winding should read about 2.3 ohms White to Green, the pick-up about 240 ohms Blue/Yellow to Green and the source coil about 200 ohms Black/Red to Green, each within plus or minus 20 percent. Readings that are open circuit, shorted to the core or far outside those figures point to a failed stator.
Does it include the pick-up pulsar coil?
Yes. The pick-up pulsar coil is included and already mounted on the stator plate, with 130 mm of wire from the coil to the grommet, so the ignition trigger is replaced at the same time as the charging winding.
