Stator for Honda NT 700 V
NT 700 V 2010-2011 - OEM replacement 31120-MEW-921
This is a brand new aftermarket stator, built as a direct replacement for the original charging coil fitted to the Honda NT 700 V of 2010 and 2011. It is plug-and-play and a direct fit, so it mounts on the original fixings inside the alternator cover and connects to the standard three-pin plug with no modification to the engine cases or the wiring harness. Every unit is tested before it is shipped.
The stator is built on the highest grade of lamination materials and wound with the highest grade of copper winding, resistant to 200 degrees Celsius. A 15-pole unit of this size does a lot of work on a touring machine, where the engine spends long periods at steady speed and the electrical system is often carrying heated clothing, auxiliary lighting and luggage-mounted accessories, so winding quality and heat tolerance matter. Connectors and a rubber grommet are supplied with the part, and the opposite connector for the main harness side is included as well, because that plug is often melted, corroded or defective and is a major cause of repetitive electrical issues.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will it fit without modification?
Yes. It is a direct replacement for the original unit on the NT 700 V of 2010 and 2011, using the original mounting points and the standard single three-pin plug. No cutting, splicing or modification of the engine cases or harness is required.
What is included?
The stator, the connectors and a rubber grommet. The opposite connector for the main harness side is included as well, so a plug that has melted or corroded on the bike can be renewed at the same time as the stator.
How do I know my old stator has failed?
Typical symptoms are a battery that will not stay charged, dim or flickering lights, and charging voltage that does not rise above battery voltage with the engine running. Check with a meter across the three yellow wires: a healthy unit reads about 0.4 ohms yellow to yellow and open circuit (O.L) from any yellow wire to ground. Readings well outside those values indicate a shorted or open winding.
Should I check the regulator rectifier at the same time?
It is worth doing. A regulator rectifier that has broken down internally can destroy a new stator, and a burnt or corroded connector between the two is a common cause of repeat failures - which is why the opposite harness-side connector is supplied with this part.
