Mitsuba 18-Pole Stator for Honda TRX 300 Fourtrax
Honda TRX 300 2x4 and TRX 300 FW Fourtrax 4x4 - 1988 to 2000
This is a brand new aftermarket Mitsuba pattern 18-pole generator stator for the Honda TRX 300 2x4 and the TRX 300 FW Fourtrax 4x4. It is a direct replacement for the original unit, plug-and-play and easy to install, and it ships with the connector, the rubber grommet and an extra opposite connector for the main harness - so if the loom side plug on your machine is heat damaged or corroded, you have the mating half to replace it with.
The stator is the fixed winding assembly behind the flywheel. It produces the AC current that the regulator rectifier turns into the DC that charges the battery, and on this six-wire unit it also carries the source winding that feeds the ignition. That dual role is why a tired stator so often presents as more than one fault at a time: a battery that goes flat over a week, headlights that brighten and dim with the revs, charging that only appears above a certain engine speed, or an intermittent misfire. This unit is wound with the highest grade of copper, insulated to withstand 200 degrees Celsius, and built on high grade lamination materials.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this fit without modification?
Yes, on the applications listed above. It is a direct replacement with the same mounting, the same six-wire output and the same connector as the original, so nothing needs cutting or splicing. Compare Honda part number 31120-HC4-750 or 31120-HC4-003 against the number on your original unit if you want to confirm before ordering.
What is included?
The stator with its connector and rubber grommet fitted, plus an extra opposite connector for the main harness. That spare half means a burnt or corroded plug on the loom side can be renewed at the same time rather than reused.
How do I confirm my old stator has failed?
Test it cold with a meter. Between any two yellow wires you should see about 0.4 ohms, plus or minus 20 per cent, and from the blue/yellow source wire to ground about 350 ohms, plus or minus 20 per cent. A winding reading open circuit, a winding reading near zero, or any continuity between a yellow wire and the stator body means the unit has failed and no amount of cleaning will bring it back.
Does this include the pickup or trigger coil?
This unit carries the source winding measured from the blue/yellow wire, and the specification lists a pickup coil wire length of 20 mm. Compare the images and the wire count against your original assembly before ordering, and ask us if you are unsure which variant your machine uses.
