A brand new aftermarket generator stator supplied as a direct replacement for the original unit on the Honda VT 1100 Shadow family, including the Spirit, Sabre, Aero and ACE. The stator is the fixed three-phase winding in the alternator that generates the AC current the regulator/rectifier converts into the DC supply for the battery, ignition, lighting and instruments. When a phase shorts or burns out the charging voltage drops away and the bike runs on the battery until it is flat.
This unit is wound with the highest grade copper windings, resistant to 200 degrees Celsius, on highest grade lamination materials. It is a plug-and-play, direct fit to the original mounting points and loom plug, so no cutting, splicing or modification is required. Connector and rubber grommet are included, along with the opposite connector for the main harness side, as those are often melted, corroded or defective. All products shipped are tested.

Does this fit without modification?
Yes. It is a direct replacement for the original unit and installs plug-and-play on the standard mountings using the original 3-pin loom plug. No cutting, splicing or modification of the harness is required.
What is included?
The stator with its connector and rubber grommet, plus the opposite connector for the main harness side, so both halves of a joint that is often melted or corroded can be renewed at the same time.
How do I know my old stator has failed?
Disconnect the plug and measure between each pair of yellow wires. A healthy unit reads about 0.4 ohms, within plus or minus 20 per cent, with no continuity from any yellow wire to earth. A battery that will not stay charged, dim lights at idle and charging voltage that does not rise with revs are the usual signs of failure.
