This is a brand new aftermarket stator for the Honda XR 200 R, matched to the Denso type unit fitted to these machines. The stator sits behind the flywheel and carries the windings that supply the ignition and the lighting circuit. As the enamel insulation ages and the plate is repeatedly heat-cycled, those windings short between turns or to the plate itself, and the bike starts to lose spark when hot, run erratically, or refuse to fire at all.
This replacement is plug-and-play and a direct fit for the original. The 96 mm outer diameter, 36 mm bore, 37 mm stack, eight-pole layout and three-wire output through three plugs all follow the factory specification, so nothing has to be cut, spliced or adapted during fitting. It is built on the highest grade of lamination materials with the highest grade of copper winding, resistant to 200 degrees Celsius, and the rubber grommet that seals the wiring where it leaves the crankcase cover is included. Will I need to modify anything to fit it?
No. This is a plug-and-play, direct fit replacement. The plate dimensions, the eight-pole layout, the three wires and the three plugs all match the original, so it mounts in the factory position and connects straight to the standard loom.
What is included in the box?

How do I know my old stator has failed?
Disconnect the plugs and measure yellow to pink, which should be about 0.4 ohms, and black/red to ground, which should be about 350 ohms, each within roughly 20 per cent. Any yellow or pink wire should read open line to the engine casing. Continuity to earth, an open circuit, or a reading well outside those figures means the windings have broken down.
Is this the same as the Denso unit on my bike?
