How do I test the old stator before removing it?
Unplug the connector and work through the five wire pairs listed in the specification table. White to white/brown and black/white to green/white should each read about 0.8 ohms, blue to yellow about 0.7 ohms, and purple to black and green to grey about 0.6 ohms, each within roughly 20 per cent. An open circuit on any pair, or continuity from any wire to the engine casing, confirms a failed winding.
