This is a brand new aftermarket generator stator, part number RM01537, built as a direct replacement for the original unit fitted to the Kawasaki Jet Ski Ultra 150 1200, STX 1200 and STX-R 1200 from 1999 to 2005. It is plug-and-play and a direct fit, using the original mounting points and the original four plugs, so no cutting, splicing or drilling is needed. Compared with the earlier 900 and 1100 magnetos this is a physically smaller stator at 93 mm outside diameter and only 11 mm thick, so check the dimensions below against the unit you are removing.
The stator is built on the highest grade lamination stack and wound with the highest grade copper, with insulation rated to 200 degrees Celsius to survive the trapped heat inside a sealed magneto cover. Along with the pickup pulsar coil, the main connector and the rubber grommet, this part also ships with the opposite connector for the main harness side. RMSTATOR supply that extra plug because the harness side connector on these craft is so often found melted, corroded or otherwise defective, and replacing only the stator side would leave the fault in place.

What is included?
The generator stator unit, the pickup pulsar coil, the main connector, the opposite connector for the main harness side, and the rubber grommet.
How do I know my old stator has failed?
Test it cold with a multimeter. Yellow to yellow across the alternator winding should read about 1.1 ohms and green to blue on the pickup about 515 ohms, both within 20%. An open circuit, a reading well outside those figures, or continuity between a winding and the stator core all point to a failed unit. Typical symptoms are a battery that goes flat during a session, a weak or intermittent spark, and difficulty restarting a hot engine.
Why is a second connector supplied?
Because the mating plug on the main harness side is frequently found melted, corroded or defective by the time the stator itself fails. Fitting a new stator into a damaged harness plug simply reproduces the fault, so the opposite connector is included so both halves of the joint can be renewed together.
